Echinoderms:
Sea stars are unattached echinoderms. The mouth is located centrally on the ventral surface.
Luzon sea star, Echinaster luzonicus
Brittle stars have long thin arms which attach to a flat pentagonal central disk.
Speckled brittle star, Ophiochasma stellata
Feather stars or crinoids are the oldest echinoderms. Some crinoids can swim, but most walk slowly on jointed legs.
Sea urchins have external skeletons composed of ten fused calcareous plates, covered with numerous moveable spines.
